WHEN YOU VISIT

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you're wearing. In the summertime, it's not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their "Sunday best," and that's fine too! However, we do request that shorts be of a conservative length (no “short-shorts”) and that in general, clothing be respectable and conservative.

HOW DO I GET TO ST. MARK THE EVANGELIST?

Our parish is located at 5601 South Flamingo Road, Southwest Ranches, FL 33330. Here is a map.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

We have parking lots available in the Southeast, Southwest and Northwest corners of our property. We kindly ask that no one park in the empty green lot just to our South, as the property belongs to our neighbors. Additional parking is available for Sunday masses and larger events, at Archbishop McCarthy High School who kindly shares their parking lot. The high school is located just to the North of St. Mark and it can be accessed from our campus.

WHERE DO MY CHILDREN GO?

“Sunday, the “Lord’s Day,” is the principal day for the celebration of the Eucharist. … It is the pre-eminent day of the liturgical assembly, the day of the Christian family, and the day of joy and rest from work (CCC, 1193).”

Families with children are encouraged to sit anywhere in the congregation that they feel comfortable. We do have cry rooms available in the back Southeast and Southwest corners of our church if needed. The sound of children during mass means our church continues to grow, please always feel encouraged to bring your little ones to Christ!

AM I EXPECTED TO PUT MONEY IN THE OFFERING?

If you are visiting with us, we don't expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider our parish your church home, we'd love for you to prayerfully consider giving on a weekly basis. You can give by check or cash during the service, or you can sign up for online giving here.
